Fall Inspiration Looks from Meadow Boutique

Just because the season’s changing doesn’t mean you have to do a complete wardrobe swap. Meadow Boutique and I partnered together to share with you some fall items worth investing in to help transform your summer basics into chic fall ensembles.

It’s important to smoothly transition your wardrobe between seasons, as you want to be sure to dress appropriately for the weather but still seamlessly stay on top of the season’s trends. With just a few simple styling tricks, you can take your favorite warm weather basics into fall.

The key is to build your wardrobe around foundation pieces. You’ll want to start with some denim dresses or jeans, crisp classic t-shirts, button-down tops, and silk dresses. Then, you’ll want to think about pieces that will transform your basics and elevate them to a new look for fall.

Now that you have some of the layering basics out of the way, read on about our fall pieces you can invest in to kick-start your transition.

My Fab 5 Summer-to-Fall Transition Picks:

  • Felt Hat
  • Leopard Calf-Hair Slides
  • Booties or Boots
  • Layering Sweater
  • Vegan Leather Jacket

To create a chic fall ensemble using your favorite flowy floral dress, add a fun accessory like a felt hat and tall boots. LOVE this Ulla Johnson Dahlia floral dress too!

Layer up! Layering is the easiest way to transition between seasons. Wear your favorite signature knit top with jeans and toss on a vegan leather jacket. Easy peasy and fall chic!

Skinny jeans are stylish year-round. Wear your favorite classic t-shirt with skinny jeans and layer on a sweater like this beautiful wrap sweater by Brochu Walker. Add some leopard calf-hair slides for a fun edge – a must-have this fall!

Invest in a good pair of booties or boots! Transition your summer denim dress into fall by integrating neutral booties like these by Rag and Bone. Look effortlessly chic!

Pair your favorite skinny jeans with a fun top and add some boots to the mix to make it fall-ready.  LOVE these Veronica Beard Hall boots! She has become a favorite designer of mine because of her “classic with an edge” looks. How fun is this Rebecca Taylor Sateen embroidered bird top too?

Silk dresses are a staple in my closet and are year-round pieces. Add some boots with your silk dress and viola, you have a chic fall ensemble.
